Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs Issues Apology Over Resurfaced 2016 Assault Video Involving Ex-Girlfriend Cassie Ventura

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs has finally addressed the resurfaced 2016 video that allegedly shows him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

The 54-year-old rapper issued an apology on his Instagram page on Sunday afternoon. In the video, he admitted, “I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses.”

Facing the camera, Diddy reflected on his past actions, stating, “It’s so difficult to look back on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you have to. I was in a bad place.”

He continued, “I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. It’s disgusting.”

“I was disgusted with myself then, and I am disgusted now. I sought professional help, including therapy and rehab,” he shared. “I asked God for mercy and grace. I’m truly sorry. I’m committed to becoming a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness, just expressing my sincere apology.”

This statement follows the release of footage from 2016, obtained by CNN, from the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The viral video appears to show a physical altercation between Diddy and Cassie, consistent with events described in her lawsuit.

Cassie made allegations against Diddy in November 2023, claiming years of abuse and rape. The lawsuit was settled out of court shortly thereafter. According to court documents obtained by The Mirror, she alleged that he “raped her and perpetually abused her for years.”
